We are seeking a Legal Administrator for the Real Estate Development (RED) Legal department in our San Diego office. The incumbent will be a highly skilled individual who will be primarily responsible for assisting the RED Legal department with various aspects of contract preparation and maintenance, as well as other tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, summarize, and compile construction-related contract documents and change orders for senior staff’s review and approval.

  • Ensure all agreements are properly approved in accordance with corporate procedure; manage the contract-signing process and return contracts by a given deadline.

  • Follow up on contract executions and required paperwork.

  • Update contract lists, logs, and reports.

  • Enter approved contracts, change orders, and costs into appropriate project management/accounting system.

  • Provide advice, guidance, and direction to execute contracts in a manner consistent with RED Legal’s established policies.

  • Manage recordkeeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation.

  • Coordinate and assist with collecting, aggregating, and preparing data.

  • Perform additional assignments as required according to the operating needs of the department or as directed by management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • At least 2 years of relevant administrative experience in construction and/or real estate development industries ideal.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Proficiency with DocuSign required.

  • Familiarity with project management and document control software (Unifier) preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels, including but not limited to senior management, consultants, etc., required.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills required.

  • High standards of quality with attention to detail essential.

  • Integrity, honesty, and professionalism, as well as commitment to company values.

  • Self-motivation and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • The expected base salary range for this position is $65,000 USD to $80,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the consideration of many factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the individual’s knowledge, experience, education, qualifications, skills, job location, and the Company’s compensation practices.
